GEHA is a nonprofit, member driven association that provides medical and dental benefits exclusively to federal employees, federal retirees, military retirees and their families. And while they have been around for more than 80 years, they’re a brand that is relatively unknown – even within the federal benefits space. Which is tough when your main competition is Blue Cross & Blue Shield. To help drive awareness and recognition, we developed a new brand platform and campaign for the company. Asserting our position of only serving the federal workforce, elevating the focus on our members, and creating a point of distinction from our much larger, better known competitors.

What do you do with a celebrity endorser of a brand the celebrity can’t even use? With GEHA and NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion QB Patrick Mahomes, we looked behind the scenes to highlight the effort and the intangibles that drive success on the football field and in the federal workforce.
